This is a non-profit federally funded research project, not a commercial service. It is for teachers to share. If you like the idea of sharing then this site is for you.

All content created inside ASSISTments is copyright of the author. Do not upload content that you do not personally own. Do not upload content for which you do not hold the copyright to, such as those from textbooks that you did not explicitly author. You are encouraged to put your name in a small font on the problem itself to let people know you wrote that content. This site may only be used for non-commercial purposes. By using this site you agree that you will not attempt to derive commercial benefit from ASSISTments.

By putting content into ASSISTments you are implicitly sharing it with the world. Others can copy your content and build upon it (of course they should give credit when they do so). By putting your content into ASSISTments you are giving researchers who ASSISTments the right to use your content, and possibly promote it up to the Certified Problem Set level, which can be shared with the world.

The source code is not open-source, but is property of WPI and CMU, non-profit educational entities. The universities (WPI and CMU) that own the source code have decided to give away this service for free.

WPI runs the servers and stores all the student level and teacher data.
