Auburn MA, "I have been using [ASSISTment] in my Algebra I Part I class and so far, have used it as a reinforcement to what they've learned in class. I assigned the mastery lessons on solving equations and that's all we've done so far. I did find that it helped one student who was having trouble getting the correct sign on her answer. While using the computer, she paid more attention to the sign before she put her answer in (she wanted to get it right). On her next test, I noticed a great improvement in the signs. Now she gets in the 80%'s on all her tests. It was this that did it. I was telling here about her sighs for weeks before this intervention and it was not sinking in."
