We have been invited by the North Carolina Department of Instruction and SERVE to present work related to ASSISTments and the research behind it. The registration page is here [1]. The talk is March 10 at 4PM EST- 5:30 PM. Neil was invited by Dr. Sarah McManus at the DPI [2]

Follow up Webinar on April 19th

Teachers and school personnel who come to our webinar (or learned about ASSISTments from someone who was at the webinar) are welcome to attend a second webinar for April 19th at 4 PM to learn more. If you want to attend, please fill out the registration form by clicking bellow.

In this follow-up webinar we will work with participants to help them make teacher accounts, learn how to run their first class in the lab, learn how to assign content to their student and learn more ways in which teachers use ASSISTments to facilitate the Formative Assessment Cycles in their classrooms.

Summer Institutes (a.k.a. workshops)

The ASSISTments team will be hosting workshops for schools and districts in NC.

Four day training at North Carolina State

  • August 9 - 12
  • $30 per person to register
  • Contact Matt Militello (matt_militello@ncsu.edu) for information.

Your own training at your school

  • You must have at least 20 people attending.
  • Contact us to schedule a date


We charge for our time

  • $300 for the first day and
  • $150 for each day after
  • You pay for hotel and travel
  • There are only 3trainers so schedule now
  • Contact Cristina Heffernan (ch@wpi.edu) to schedule a training.

What will happen at an Institute

  • Teaches will learn how to navigate the system
  • This Institute is designed for groups of teachers who plan to work together as Professional Learning Communities
  • Groups of teachers will learn strategies for responding to data
  • Groups of teachers and administrators will have time to design their own Online formative assessment routine
  • Strategies for using ASSISTments with students will be covered in depth
